Cretan Cat-a-list is an established charity providing a vital role in animal welfare within the Rethymno region of Crete, Greece.

Specializing in the rescue of stray cats and kittens, it provides veterinary care, shelter and sanctuary, as well as its major function of delivering education in animal care to local people and the operation of a neutering program. Cat-a-list uses and maintains 'cat cafes' as a way of monitoring the health and numbers of feline families, and to ensure a food supply especially during the sparse winter months.
The charity relies on donations from dedicated supporters and small grants from International Animal Welfare Organisations; it is run solely by volunteers who give up both their time and often their homes to ensure the successful rehabilitation and re-homing of cats and kittens via a network of Animal Welfare Centres throughout Europe.
